"Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will] (1 Thessalonians 5:18) AMP.

Sometimes when you look around you the word "thank you" can become alien to your language. If you calculated the pain inflicted on you by others around even close friends and family, it might be difficult to give your heart to thanking. If you looked around your environment, society alike, with so much social injustice and disenfranchisement it becomes difficult to stay thanking. But the Bible commands you today to "thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you. Isn't it humbling to know that even when you are fed up, angry, hurt, humiliated, disrespected, unappreciated, weary...that the Lord expects you to still offer him a sacrifice of thanksgiving. The Bible states that it is the will of God for you to keep thanking him through the accusations, criticisms, hurts, pain, tears, and joy also. The devil, your adversary prefers to see you sullen faced, distressed, confused and discouraged but he is a liar and the father of lies. No matter the circumstances you are faced with today...give God thanks! No matter the challenges...give God thanks! No matter the achievements...give God thanks! Be thankful and give thanks. If the devil had his way you would never have made it to a new year. If enemies of your progress had their way you would have been stopped on the 31st of December 2007 but look where you are today...give God thanks! Thank the Lord in every circumstance. Thanksgiving is a very powerful tool in the hand of the believer. In the days of apartheid in South Africa, black South Africans had only God to look unto. Television screens all over the world would broadcast pictures and scenes of singing black men, women and children. They sang through imprisonment, rapes, beatings and murder. Today, they sing in victory for thanksgiving got them what the best military machinery could not get them...freedom! Paul and Silas sang and prison doors were opened; chains broken. The blood of Jesus Christ has bought you the supernatural ability to rise above every negative situation.

Charles Dickens said; "Reflect upon your present blessings...of which every man has many...not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some."

Prayer: Thank you Lord for your precious blood that gives me access to your throne room today and always to obtain help in time of trouble. I thank you Lord for the gift of life and for all you have done in my life and all you are yet to do. I say dear Father, "Thank you." CR
