Case for the prosecution: Who wants to hear 16 classic Christian songs for kids, some of which never were children's songs in the first place, with a lack lustre production completely out of touch with present day reality?  My gran was singing "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam" in 1933.  And where're the drums?  Kids these days need beat and plenty of it.  We don't need visuals of children, some of whom can't act for toffee, parading around in pedal boats miming badly to "Everybody Ought to Know".  What on earth have pedal boats on a pond possibly got to do with everybody knowing?  In summary, this is mawkish sentimentality far below the standard set by CBBC.  The case for the defence:  While it may be true that Cedarmont productions transport us to a parallel reality, what's so great about our present reality?  If you want to be in touch with a world where lies, sarcasm and hatred are missing, then this video is for you.  It takes time for a song to become a "classic" so it's impossible to have an album of classic songs without at least some of them having been around for a while.  Some may call the acting loose but that's what attracts children to them, kids messing around.  That's what children do, mess around.  In summary, we may ask who wants to watch a bunch of kids singing "I Have Decided To Follow Jesus" and the like.  Well, my little boy for one.  He can't get enough of this video, he loves it.  And I'm very happy that he's learning these classic Christian songs, sung by children who look as though they really mean what they are singing.
