John Michael Talbot is best known for his gentle acoustic guitar-led songs of worship and devotion, so it s hardly surprising that this latest offering sees our hero serving up 11 more slices of the same. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, you hear; far from it, since Brother Talbot has put together an album which would make perfect late-night listening (unfortunately, I rather lost out on an opportunity by listening to it first thing in the morning), filled as it is with lush strings, soothing acoustic guitar, and, as the sleeve rightly points out, the signature voice of our man. The song titles alone point to the gentle, meditative musical style within; Commit Your Life, Breathe On Me and Apple Of Your Eye.
