This is one of those albums where the choice of producer has determined the entire character of the piece. Ric Wake, best known for his work with Mariah Carey and Taylor Dayne, has ensured that it's the vocals that are the centre of attention. The result is an imbalance in the tracks which leans too heavily on soulful ballads like 'Love Was Never Meant To Die" and "You're Still Here". The quality of her voice is not in question - it has a richness that makes a pleasant change from the "little girl" vocals we get plagued with. But the album only gets into top gear on "The Hard Days" - the sort of track Margaret Becker might have done pre-Charlie Peacock; "Everything Changes" and "Cant Get You Out Of My Heart" - tracks that have an altogether more upbeat feel.

This is a great ccm pop cd by a most loved voice of ccm. Sooo many outstanding songs on this cd; kind a difficult to zero in on top favorites. I had heard "Everything Changes" on pop radio; it caught my attention. I had also heard "YOU'VE Got a Way" play on ccm radio about the same time. I bought the cd, what a collection of songs after some years of silence. "Help Myself to YOU", "The Hard Days", "Love was Never Meant to Die", "Love has Found me Here" and the cd closer "YOU'RE Still Here" are among cd notables. Heaven made sure she was heard, she returned with a bang!!!! Great cd to have!
GOD Bless! -Don
