If you like instrumental background music (muzak?) to hum and sing along to then this second collection of worship songs to be given a light 'classical' treatment (the first was merely called 'Praise Magnificat') may be for you. The album comprises traditional and modern worship songs, with many delights such as Wayne Watson's "People Of God" given a Viennese treatment and Graham Kendrick's "Amazing Love" sounding as though it was orchestrated by John 'ET' Williams. Larry tinkles the ivories to great effect, and the NPO create a sound that has quality written through it. I imagine the appeal will be limited to those already familiar with the songs, but the arrangements are excellent and anyone looking for good easy listening can stop here.
