Rapture are a five piece band from the Glossop area with a lot of experience behind them. This tape is a collection of four original songs and the experience of the band shows. This is possibly the best produced and recorded tape I have heard in a long time. Unfortunately the songs included are weak and are somewhat dated. The tape opens with an upbeat pop song about the second coming which suffers from an early 80s feel. This is followed by a slower and altogether sharper song, "Everyday", urging people to turn to God and look to him for their strength. The second side starts with an instrumental, reminiscent of early Mike Oldfield, and is concluded with a song called "The Gift", where the singer sounds like an old favourite of mine, Stewart Penny. Unfortunately, this song is the most insubstantial of all.
