These days, instrumental albums by virtuoso guitarists are not exactly commonplace, so this debut from Canadian Sean Spicer is something of a rarity. Having studied music at Humber College and the Royal Conservatory of Music, Sean's musical talent is plain for all to hear. While Spicer's playing does not quite reach the heights of the likes of Santana or Eric Johnson, it certainly has echoes of them. His tone has a warmth to it which complements his bluesy melodies well. The strap line to the album is "A peace that surpasses all understanding," which is a clue to its general feel. The 11 compositions present here are peaceful and relaxing and perfect for meditational use and the inlay card gives a little information on what inspired Spicer to write each song which helps to put the music in context. Worth investigating.

Product Description

Award winning guitarist Sean Spicer has given his heart and talents one hundred percent to the Lord!

Sean’s warm tone is mixed with bluesy melodic riffs and tasteful effects influenced by David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Alex Lifeson (Rush), Andy Summers (The Police) and reminiscent of Larry Carlton’s Contemporary Jazz & fusion.
